Designers of the Day

We hope you are enjoying meeting our designers! Be sure to check out the BIG giveaway we are doing for our next launch in the post below!

My name is Jeanne and I am a SAHM to 4 amazing kids. I first started sewing as a little girl when my mom would let me play with her sewing machine and make Barbie clothes out of fabric scraps, paper towels, Kleenex, and anything my imagination would allow. For many years I mainly made quilts and Halloween costumes. About 5 years ago I started sewing for my kids again and haven’t stopped since! For several years I have enjoyed being a pattern tester for some incredible designers like Carla Crim (The Scientific Seamstress) and Jennifer Paganelli of Sis Boom, Lisa Williams’ Funktional Threads, and recently Erin’s Designs. I love all things Disney and feel like I always need to be planning my next trip. I love being able to create fun clothes for kids and enjoy both machine applique and hand applique.

Hello, my name is Melissa and I am the owner/designer of MM Creations. Not a very creative name but it is my initials. I started selling under this name when I made jewelry back in Junior High, so I just stuck with it when I branched out to craft fairs.I was raised an Army Brat and moved every few years as a child. Minnesota has been my home for the last 14 years. I am the Mom to one 11 year old daughter. Who is admittedly spoiled. I have three sisters who have graced me with 9 nieces and nephews.

I always dabbled in sewing but did not really dive into it until I stumbled upon a thread on the disboards in 2009 that inspired me to design for my daughter. And next thing I know I am creating for others! It has become my true passion. I love creating and sewing it truly has brought me peace and joy.

Hi, my name is Kristen and I am the designer at Kk’s Creations. I have been monogramming and embroidering for about 6 years now, buying my first embroidery machine when my children were very little. This led me to learn how to sew. I would see all the beautiful boutique clothing and think I could just make that. I love the creative outlet it gives me, and being in my sewing room gives me peace and an escape from everything else. My site name is attributed to my niece, because she called me Kk when she was little. I joined the Disboutiquers when we were planning a trip to Disney and I knew I wanted to make custom outfits for my children. They were and are a wonderful group, and I am very proud to be a part of it.
